Features and functionality
The PK9's unique shape features three pieces of brushed stainless spring steel that act as a column; bringing the leather seating element. Poul Kjærholm was inspired by a footprint in the sand of his wife's butt from a day at the beach. Subsequently; during the design process; Hanne Kjærholm sat in clay boxes to find the most optimal and comfortable solution.

Materials and construction
The PK9 is a fully upholstered chair in a limited range of leather types. The 3-legged base is made of brushed satin stainless steel. The internal shell is made of nylon.
