Materials and construction

Bianca is a family of lighting fixtures equipped with a milky white layered glass diffuser, still blown with a satin finish. The surface decoration of the diffuser is characterized by an orderly series of light and delicate grooves which, on the white volume of the glass, recall small footprints on fresh snow. Mouth-blown, belt-ground and then dipped in acid in order to obtain the characteristic "silk effect" of fine glass, Bianca's diffusers are available in three diameters which complete all thirteen types of devices that make up the family . The largest measures 50 cm in diameter and, due to its size and quantity of glass, has represented, represents and will represent for each production an authentic challenge even for the most skilled master glassmakers, accustomed to blowing glass at a standstill which, according to the traditional production process Venetian, does not require the help of external aids to rotate and shape the glass mass in the mold, but only the use of one's own skill and lung capacity. Bianca is available in the free-standing, table-top and floor-standing versions with stem and base, suspended and wall-mounted and ceiling versions. The matt white color of the paints applied to the various metal supports recalls the name and color of the speaker. In the Small size, 16 cm, and Medium, 30 cm in diameter, Bianca houses a dimmable LED board while the Large version, 50 cm in diameter, features an E27 lamp holder which allows the use of different types of light sources. Bianca produces a diffused light emission, very warm and enveloping in the surrounding environment. Diffuser in milky white, blown and satin-finished layered glass. Base and stem in white metal. Power cable, plug and transparent dimmer.
